    perfect chips

    Excellant for making chips if you follow this , Make fresh chips from maris piper potatoes the day before , Leave in water overnight, Use Sunflower oil, Dry off chips before cooking , Cook on full power for 5 minutes, Let chips drain and rest on side of cooker for 4 minutes (they carry on cooking ) Cook on full power for 3 more minutes , PERFECT

    Swan deep fat fryer

    Nice and compact but the handle is rubbish!! It comes loose when you shake the chips and when you tip the chips into a bowl. It’s actually dangerous!! The lid doesn’t sit on right either. Wish I hadn’t put the oil in I would be sending it back.

    Good item and reasonable price

    I haven't cleaned this item yet so cannot give you a definite yes or no answer. The item is easy to use but personally I noticed, compared to my last one that I had been using for several years, the basket and handle are quite difficult to separate and you have to let it cool down before attempting to do it. It's probably a good safety measure.

    I cannot recommend this fryer enough - it is brilliant!

    Simple and easy to use. I am originally from Yorkshire, where they make the best chips anywhere in the world! I now live in Cornwall, where they don't. So after doing lots of research, I bought my wife this deep fat fryer...... and it (and she) makes the most wonderful chips that I have had since I moved from Yorkshire 20 years ago! I cannot recommend this fryer enough - it is brilliant and a great bargain too! Go get one - you will not regret it.

    Small but does the job

    Basket is a bit on the small size. It would be no good for a family of four or more. However, I have only used it to make chips so far. The results are perfect.
