Gilt emblem to the front cover. Prize plate to the inner cover. Closed edges and endpapers with blue marbled design. Folding map shows the track of the Cachalot in its voyages. Includes some full page illustrations. Good generally. A classic account of whaling in the 19th Century by a noted authority on the subject. An excellent read if you are interested in the exploits of a 18th century whaling ship from first person perspective.”
