Bought this Receiver to replace my still Good Pioneer Receiver, Reason I bought it was that I read that it had and On Screen User Interface making it easy choices of the HDMI / Audio inputs. Another really nice thing is was that you could rename your inputs and not have to use the degault of HDMI 1, 2, 3.....I like Hi_Tech, but when it came down to it, Sime is better for the Family. Sime is better.

I was interested in the idea of working everything from a video driven menu and not depending on an overly complicated remote control. This does the trick. Easy to set up and use. The sound quality is very good for the size and power. Once you have all your gadgets (DVD, game console, cable box) hooked up, all you have to do is tell the NeoHD what you want to watch and it will go to the correct input, adjust the sound, and display the output on the TV. The NeoHD remote will control other devices by using a wired IR transmitter that you attach to the front of the device to be controlled. I use the IR to work my cable box. The Neo remote provide quick access to functions like channel up/down, TV guide, and cable box menu. More complex cable box functions can be done, but require a bit more button pushing then I care for. The IR transmitter will work most DVD players as well.Read full review
Nice unit, it does exactly what I want it to do. With five surround sound speakers, I can fill the room with sound just like in a movie theater. I wish the remote control setup didn't require total take-over of the IR sensors of separate devices, I skipped that part of the set up since my wife doesn't want to lose her familiar remote control. That's the only detractor to the system. Other than that, everything works great.

I bought the receiver because of the on screen selection, and no multitude of buttons and switches on the front of the receiver. The only "con" would be the hard wired sensors that have to mount to your existing equipment for the neo to be able to control them. This product not being the "latest model", compares very well to others, especially price wise.
I just wanted to drive a decent set of bookshelf speakers for computer speakers. Having a large home theater receiver to do the job was overkill, and I wanted something small and cool-to-run that I could house in a ventilated cabinet next to my CPU tower. This fits the bill perfectly and is high quality! Its features are a bit overkill, but it does exactly what I want- just give me a set of RCA inputs for my computer, a set of stereo speaker connectors, a big volume knob on the front, and that's it! I don't even need the remote it comes with, and only configured it initially on my LCD TV before I took it into my office. The initial config has the perfect options to do this- leave in the last input mode on power on, and you can skip all the excess config points you don't need. So from this simple 2-channel PC perspective, I'm loving it.Read full review
I bought this receiver so I could connect three HDMI devices and be able to switch between them as needed. It performs as advertised producing good surround sound and is very easy to set up in the self-adjusting mode. Be aware that the woofer you connect will have to be self-powered woofer, i was not aware of this when I purchased receiver so I'm operating without one now. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase and the price was great.
This little machine delivers great sound and is easy to set up. The test for sound is great since the mic. picks up on each speaker and automatically adjust to your room. I recommend this 5.1 channel receiver. I'm very happy with it.
overall a good basic receiver. great sound the only draw back is the remote. it is the most basic remote i have ever seen outside a hospital or hotel room. this receiver is a good buy for the price but you must invest in an advanced universal remote i suggest any logitech harmony
