Soulful and passionate Beth Hart Live!!
Having just found Beth Hart on youtube last week singing one of my favorite Sam Cooke songs "A Change is Gonna Come", I decided to get one of her albums. I try to get a live album from any new artist I find because it's always more congruent with their true nature imo. She had only been sober for almost a year and a half at this recording and she is literally busting out of her skin with every song. Beth is so happy to be alive and healthy for the first time since she was 11(very inspirational life story). The production quality isn't a 10, and true Beth fans like it like that. Her energy and passion is so raw and rare, especially in the female blues/rock genre. She is one of the most genuine, powerful and sexiest singers I've heard since Ann Wilson. This is my first attempt at reviewing something, so be gentle! If you are not familiar with Beth Hart, I will give you a simple introduction. Beth is an amazing singer with a tremendous voice. She has an exceptional feel for melodies and the most powerful set of pipes you may ever hear! But, this is not what makes Beth extraordinary. Great art should make you FEEL something...angry, sad, happy, alive...something. For me personally, Beth's music has the ability to make me feel a great deal of emotions. But, ultimately, her music and her stories make me feel incredibly happy to be alive. If you are already a fan of Beth Hart's music and do not own this, you MUST make a point to obtain this album soon!!!!
