  • Good Book!

Having been in the Missouri and Arkansas Ozarks many many times, I can say that I have seen places and people that resemble those in the book. Woodrell has captured the backwoods people of this area real well. Not to say that all people from the Ozarks are like this, but some still definately are even in this modern day and age. Add this book to your collection today!

  • Winter's Bone

I bought this book because our local paper had a review on it. It was excellent. It is a very thought provoking book but also entertaining-well written showing the culture of a segment of the population of the Missouri Ozarks.

  • Winters Bone

Beautifully written book. Like Poetry. Bleak Ozarks mountains where poor and crack producing clans live and die. Wonderful at creating characters that are believable and beautiful.
