    Enlightening

    A different story than I expected. It was about the magazine writer that interviewed Mr Rogers. In the process he learned a lot about himself and ultimately resolved his emotional problems. Meanwhile you also get insight into Fred Rogers private as well as public life. He was always himself and not just a character he portrayed on a TV show.

    So Much Heart!

    Mr Rogers was such a powerful influence on me! This movie brought him to life the way I truly believed he was 24-7. And more! Mr. Rogers always showed you how to love practical. I adored the quiet minute of reflection & that all the people of the original cast were invited for that sentimental moment! When the movie was over I was teary eyed. I turned to my daughter and said- I wish I had the number of the person sitting next to Tom Hanks right now- so I could call them and ask them to give him the biggest little kid hug!

    Dry thoughtful & moving picture.

    Mr. Rogers was a most unique children’s tv host. He was quiet, gentle but clear & honest in helping children (and all humans) deal with difficult life situations & feelings. This film is for adults & focuses on a true relationship Fred Rogers had with a troubled reporter . In the process of getting to know Fred Rogers, this man was able to face & work through serious life issues. I found this a profound & moving picture. It is not a film that all will appreciate, but for those wanting to deal with life challenges & feelings more honestly, it’s a Beautiful film.
