    The merlin of Pern

    The land of Pern is the fantasy of author Anne McCaffrey. Her writing has had me hooked for several months now. This book is about a character name Robinton, his birth, childhood, & early adulthood. He is the son of a Mastersinger Merelan & Mastercomposer Petiron. Because of his enviroment and parentage he starts singing before he talks. But his father is jealous of his mother attention and fails to see his sons genius. Harper Hall where Robinton grows up raises him as a village and he flourishes in his studies. Robinton is fully grown before his father realizes what a great man he is. In Pern, harpers are teachers, lawyers, spies but mostly they are mediators. As Masterharper of Pern, Robinton is highly skilled as a mediator and throughout the dragonrider series he involved in every ...

    A good read

    If you like the Pern series, you will like this. A little slow at first, but it picks up. Robinton apparently had much more contact with Dragons than was indicated in the first books.

    I AM COMPLETLY HOOKED ON THE PERN SERIES AS A WHOLE. LOVELY PICTURE OF A MAGIAL WORLD .DRAGONS,FIRE LIZZARDS AND THAT KIND,ORDERLY PLANET WITH PEOPLE THAT CARE AND ARE MOSTLY ARE KIND AND CHARE WITH EACH OTHER.
