About this product

Product Information

Players are first on the scene in Emergency Room: Real Life Rescues, a paramedic adventure and medical simulation for Nintendo DS. Treatments are performed using the stylus and touch screen. The control mechanics are similar to those of other medical games, such as Trauma Center or Lifesigns: Surgical Unit. Players select the required tools and equipment, such as bandages or forceps, and then apply these to the point of injury, as displayed on screen. As the game begins, players take the role of a rookie paramedic, assigned to ride with an experienced veteran. Early missions lead players through the a number of more common emergency situations, giving them experience with a variety of medical rescue and first aid techniques. Later in the game, players can make their own calls, assessing and treating injuries on the scene without the immediate direction of their in-game mentor. Real Life Rescues was created for DS by the medical game specialists at Legacy Interactive, developer and publisher of more than half a dozen Emergency Room releases for Windows and Macintosh home computers.

    I BOUGHT THIS GAME AS A CHANGE FROM MY OTHER GAMES WHICH USUALLY WERE HIDDEN OBJECT GAMES OR WORD GAMES.SINCE MY LAPTOP BROKE AT THE SAME TIME I FELL SIXTEEN FEET AND SHATTERED BOTH MY ANKLES AND I DIDNT HAVE THE MONEY TO GET MY LAPTOP FIXED.MY NINTENDO DS LITE BECAME MY BEST FRIEND.I WAS SO BORED WITH T.V. AND I HAD TO SPEND A YEAR ON THE COUCH AFTER MY OPERATIONS THEN THE CASTS.WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR.I WISH I COULD HAVE GOTTEN THE MONEY TO FIX MY LAPTOP BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED THEN I HAD NO WAY OF GETTING TO THE POST OFFICE TO SHIP IT.SO I FIGURED AFTER ALL I HAD WENT THROUGH AND STILL GOING THROUGH I SHOULD BE A PRO AT THIS GAME.SO IT HAS KEPT ME PRETTY OCCUPIED SINCE I BECAME A COUCH POTATOE.THANKS DORIS

    Great game

    If you are an EMT you should get this lots of fun and great too learn with.. i don't dislike anything about it. tell someone have fun with it i bet everyone who trys will like it.

    real life rescues

    I like the way the game goes through real life simulations of emts. being a firefighter i deal with things like this all the time thanks
