    Plankton - Ganja Killed The Dinosaurs (CD 1998)

    Possibly the last genuine album from the old school. It almost defies description, with tracks that segue from one to another (the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper springs to mind) or flash momentarily from one genre to the other- to the point where genre becomes secondary to the plot. Punk, Prog, Psych, then shards of techno, incidental sequences (reminiscent of "The Who Sell Out"), Dub, Thrash, cryptic utterances, plots, chord changes and mushroom-esque lunacy all vie for your attention. Reassuringly lo-fi, every re-play yields something different. And also available as an LP for those truly dedicated followers out there. Guitar, bass, vocals and drums in the way nature intended- ten years after it's release it has become more relevant than ever. Amuse your boss and friends. Buy this record and ...
