Approximately 21 million copies of the first three editions of "Alcoholics Anonymous" have been distributed. It is expected that the new fourth edition will play its part in passing on A.A.'s basic message of recovery. This fourth edition has been approved by the General Service Conference of Alcoholics Anonymous, in the hope that many more may be led toward recovery by reading its explanation of the A.A. program and its varied examples of personal experiences which demonstrate that the A.A. program works.

    Inspiring and Enlightening

    I bought this to read along with a friend who is receiving much-needed help through AA. I want to understand as deeply as I can the demons that he is fighting. He shared portions of his copy with me for a few weeks and I told him it is best I get my own copy so I can read it whenever I want. I am glad I did. Sometimes I go back and read portions again and again. Each time with fresh revelation. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is battling alcoholism or addictions themselves or others, like myself, who have loved ones who are enduring the battles with them.
