    I love this movie! It really is nothing like The Wizard Of Oz. But it's very campy & entertaining with great music! Michael Jackson, Diana Ross & Lena Horne.

    A definite buy for any Wiz fan!

    The Wiz is one of those polarizing movies. Either you love it or you hate it. Why would anyone hate this movie? A retelling of the Wizard of Oz with a wonderful, talented cast in an urban environment (New York city...OZified). Many scenes were filmed on location in NYC. From the New Your State Pavillion in Flushing Meadows to the base of the World Trade Center towers. I won't go into the cast except to say that Michael Jackson's performance as Scarecrow floors me every time. His fluid dance moves and even his walking (or is that easing) are great. Watch the movie, just to watch him. The film was produced by Motown Productions and this is reflected in the great music. 'Ease On Down the Road' is the most popular of the 25 songs from the film, but there are so many more fun, catchy ...
