This is a really well designed and sturdily built guitar stand. Very ingenious how it folds up for compact transport, but holds either electric or acoustic guitars solidly.

    Neat & lightweight

Great little stand fits in the gig bag pocket. Ideal for my banjo (heavy) and flat backed bouzouki (light). Would highly recommend as it's so easy to carry and use.

  • Top critical review

    The jury's out!

The main benefit of this product is also its main drawback in my opinion and that is it's weight. When I sit a guitar on it, especially a small bodied acoustic it doesn't feel sturdy at all. However it folds up very small and weighs hardly anything so what could I expect? I imagine I'll keep gigging it until something falls over then it'll go in the bin!

  • Really good compact guitar (instrument) stand

This guitar/instrument stand is very compact and yet stable when deployed. It is made completely of plastic with rubber on surfaces where there is a need for protection or anti-slip. I have used it as a stand for mandolin, bass uke, various electric guitars through to Jumbo 12 string acoustic and it is stable for all of these, however, it cannot accommodate small instruments e.g. concert uke, violin. The clever pop cleats automatically constrain thin bodied instruments so they do not tip back too far. My only minor issue is the plastic post, designed to keep the stand in its closed state, was broken when it arrived but, in my opinion, it has no real function and I am surprised they complicated the injection mould for it since the main hinge is stiff enough to keep it closed. I am a bit ...

  • Decent little stand.

This little folding Hercules stand is a great little piece of kit for when you need to travel light. It's surprisingly stable fits easily into a gig bag pocket or even a coat pocket. The clever little push down supports allow you to use it for both solid bodied or acoustic guitars. It works really well for studio or home use. I don't know if I'd put so much faith in it on a busy stage with clumsy or pumped up musos on the rampage but otherwise, it's just fine.

  • Good Stand

Mine was a Christmas present so I've no idea where it was sourced, maybe Am*z*n? I was alerted to these stands by a well known "Pro" player, and having owned a number of Hercules stands I was already a convert to the quality. Mine is stiff when spreading the legs but I'm sure it'll slacken off in use. As an assembly of plastic mouldings it is of above average quality. The owner needs to use a little caution in use- you cannot just plonk a guitar on it, you need to ensure that it is sitting upright. It would not offer much protection from accidental elbows etc, but then a Hercules grab stand won't fit in a gig bag, so it's horses for courses. Overall and having realistic expectations, this item is way better than leaning a guitar up against a chair or table so it has to have a ...
