    Nice detail but not to “play” with.

    Nicely detailed but I feel like it’s more of a piece to put on a shelf and admire as opposed to run around a layout. It’s so fragile and the front bogie derails every time it encounters a set of points so I’d say it’s not really fit for purpose. Very disappointed with it.

    One of 842 ....

    Excellent detailing and fantastic traction, hauling capacity and general performance. This is a typically modern-ish model, which does mean it is fragile - requires careful handling and maintenance. Considering 842 were made of the 1:1, this is a good representation of the particular issue concerned. Definitely consider it if you are a West Coast or just steam in general fan.
