ICO and Shadow of the Colossus came like lightning out of a clear sky. Often used as examples of “video games as art”, they are also just stunning adventures in general. While ICO plays more like a modern adventure game (with a visual aesthetic that still holds up) Colossus is like an epic journey into the unknown. The less you know the better, but even knowing the basics can’t spoil how singular and stunning an experience these games are. Both games showcase Fumito Ueda’s trademark cinematic minimalist style, and contain many tiny mysteries hidden beneath the main story. There of course is a new remake of Colossus, which is quite good, but this HD version of the original still feels the more definitive game. All in all this package is a must own for most who enjoy games, especially those into adventure and with an eye toward the artistic. Also bonus, you get a few short videos of the team talking about the making of the games AND the making of The Last Guardian (albeit this was when that game was still set for a PS3 release).Read full review

The PS2 versions of these two classics are far superior than the PS3 or PS4 versions. The PS3 and 4 versions are Bluepoint games not Team ICO games. The extras make this purchase worth while though.

A friend turned me on to Shadow of the Colossus before the game was released (for PS3, late bloomer) so when I saw the gameplay and what it was about, I knew I had to own it. The controls take some getting used to, for sure. The graphics are beautiful! I haven't played much of the Ico game, I started it as I was drinking one day and I didn't have the patience for it. Lol, don't frown upon my review though, I'm giving it a 5 start anyways. If you are looking for a time consuming, beautifully remastered RPG (or two) and also have a knack for taking down colossal... Colossus, this is your game!
The game has such great vibe that it makes it unique. Graphics are good (have to be remembered that it was remastered from ps2 original version) and each colossus is different in way of defeating it, like it. So, in short, I recommend it to all!

ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are great games to add to the library. The creators also made The Last Guardian and Bluepoint Studios did a full remake of Shadow of the Colossus. They are well loved.

I know that I am a sappy sort of guy. I love an underdog, a lost love regained, and stories where the good guy always wins. That's why I love this HD remake of two incredible games originally on the PS2. When I loaded up Shadow of the Collossus and watched the hero bring the body of his love to the again, I choked up all over again, and I wanted to bring her back just as if I was the hero. There is just something about the facial expression of the hero, now improved in HD, that draws me in. The voice of the gods of this place, giving this boy the smallest of hopes that he could resurrect her, are so large, while he the hero seems to shrink even more when presented with this enormous task. Yet he stands there with a childlike bravery willing to do whatever it takes to bring her back. Need I say more?Read full review
outstanding graphic and gameplay. i still can't believe I can play this two ps2 masterpieces on my PS3 with this level of beautiful visual effect. Obviously much much better than the so-call remake version of GOW. Please do yourself a favor and go get this one, its a must have in your collection. BTW, 3.55 user must be cautious because the retail version was not made for that firmware as some netizens claim. u must update to the latest firmware to play it....according to the game disc. however, i got it figured out lolz.
My neice has enjoyed and worked to defeat the monsters one by one. The levels are difficult and challenging for her. She is still working to beat the game...

If you have not played this game in PS2, then you absolutely MUST play it on PS3. It is one of the best games I have every played. The quality is extraordinary and the story rather captivating. I can play this game over and over without getting bored. Forget the minions, this is all about boss fights. ONLY boss fights, actually. But the travel to get to each of them is breath-taking, and makes this game one-of-a-kind and a MUST HAVE for gamers.
I picked up this game to get ready for the Last Guardian and i'm glad i did. Ico was very challenging to get around the controls but it sure taught me well of the next ones. Shadow of the Colossus was an amazing experience and it only made me regret all this time it took me to play it. Totally recommending this bundle to anyone who has even a little patience to get around the handling.. you will be rewarded by it.
