Seller notes: “Offering an extraordinary large collection of military figures and vintage memorabilia, fresh from ... “Offering an extraordinary large collection of military figures and vintage memorabilia, fresh from the estate of a Vietnam veteran and avid collector. Included were three original helmets and hats from his display. Featuring here an original custom made fur felt John Stetson Officer's Campaign hat, complete with bullion hat cord, leather chinstrap, DUI enamal shield pin, "Pro Patria Et Gloria". 7th Regiment, New York Natl Guard, later the 107th Infantry Regiment in 1924. Leather sweatband with gold gilt writing. Inner band measures nearly 22" around; brim is 3", crown height 6". Size 7-1/4, unusual larger size for the times. Ventilator and chin strap eyelets intact. Overall good condition, body shows some age surface wear as expected. Tiny white spot on the edge of brim as shown in last photo. Very interesting piece to add to your display and collection.”
