"Living By the Book" by Howard Hendricks is better than I could have hoped for.
I purchased this book for my small group Bible Study participants. We aren't using it to study from, but everyone was delighted with the choice. The price was right. The condition of the books were excellent. And even the postage (which doubled the price of the book) was okay. I personally am reading it and learning 'how to read it better!' Thanks!

Excellent book and easy to understand for learning how to study the Bible.
What I liked about this book the most is that the author gives a step by step method for studying Scripture that anyone who desires to know how to read and study the Bible can understand. As the authors explain each principle, they follow them with examples to show the reader how to do it. Then at the end of each of the forty-seven chapters the authors give a practical exercise for the reader to do. If the reader goes through each exercise, by the end of the book he or she will have a good grasp on how to study Scripture and apply it to his or her life. At the end of the book there a commitment form which would be something worth using if the book is used in a small group setting or a one-on-one mentorship. ENHANCED BIBLE STUDY HELP!
I was so exicited about receiving this book. I had just finished another similar book and was anxious to get started with this one. It arrived promptly and I was not disappointed. There is a workbook to accompany ths book and I have just ordered it also. I love delving into the word of God, and it is helps like this that make studying THE bIBLE more rewarding. One is able to retain information gleamed from this book (it is packed with so many goodies)then to solidify this information with the workbook is awesome! When looking for Bible study material I search for books with questions and answers at the end of each chapter or topic, I have that with this book. It is a very handsome book, and I do so love using it. When at a lost to approaching the Bible, you can't find a better ... I was so exicited about receiving this book. Excellent resource
This book provides a very thorough process for serious study of Scripture. Very good for someone who wants both to know and live by the Bible. Note that it does require the reader to apply themselves so the additional workbook would be an appropriate purchase.
