Notes
Brian Brewster aka Aquarius Heaven presents Bato Chargé, his first EP on Circus Company since 2013's Parallela Mundi (CCS 076EP). In Brewster's native Haitian Creole, "Bato Chargé" means "Overloaded Boat"; with the Caribbean rooted in the history of displaced humanity, the groove of "Bato Chargé" takes on a defiant, hopeful tone directly inspired by the traditional percussive music style gwo ka, while lyrically dealing with the pressing issue of refugees escaping conflict, poverty, and famine. "50 Drops" takes on a noirish tone, while the digi-dub skank of "Marie Galante" plays off Brewster's roots in reggae and dancehall.

- 9***s (293)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseThere was a little mix up on my order, but it was quickly and efficiently resolved. - l***_ (1)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchasethe record plays very well. it doesn’t skip at all and sounds like it’s new! it came with a photo insert as well. it was packaged well too; had extra cardboard to make sure it didn’t get damaged. the shipping didn’t take long. the only problem i had isn’t a big one. the photo on the listing showed 2 hype stickers (one described the album itself and the other one said fueled by ramen on it) the record didn’t come with these stickers which isn’t a big issue, just something i would’ve liked.
