      The item quality was very good and in clean condition. I was pleased with the price and the pictures were accurate and told me that I was getting a nice lantern. Unfortunately, the globe was broken in shipping and I’m going to leave a positive review because I’m sure the seller did their best to avoid this from happening. The handling by all shipping companies sucks and they feel it’s their job to wall test every item that comes down the line. Fortunately, I can still use the product as is.

      Excellent Hgh Power Lantern

      This is one of Coleman's brightest lanterns, probably only exceeded by the Northstar. In addition it is easy to make it compatible with kerosene as well as Coleman Fuel in the same lantern without having to change anything when switching fuels. Just replace the generator with a 639 generator and add a preheat cup and alcohol bottle, all available from ebay. The only drawback is that it used the scrader tyBut that is years from manufacture. That is the only reason for knocking it one star. A great value at anything under $65 in my opinion.

      Excellent value

      This is a 30+ year old lantern and I feel like I just bought it brand new off the shelf. Extremely happy with it. It's exactly if not better than described by seller. I used it all last weekend and will be using it for years to come. I have a genuine USA made with pride antique that is like brand new and functions perfectly.

      Very nice and clean

      These old lanterns are great. Still have our first one from when we camped with our kids. Good times! This 290A700 fired right up after I put new mantles on and fresh fuel. It was a good buy and will last for years.
