Very short cord. Because I was concerned about that and I was using it at my desk in garage which is very cold being winter, it is on my concrete floor facing towards my legs and it surprisingly takes the chill of my legs and the general vicinity. The onoff switch is at the back. It looks fine an is doing the job it is intended for. Instructions not in English
