    The Reliable Lawn Genie 54000 .75 inch Valve

    the Lawn Genie 54000 has worked better for me than a number of other brands I have used like Orbit. It is also better at holding up well for many years than some of the other styles which are also made by Lawn Genie. The price is usually reasonable, at least when purchased on-line. My valves are used daily and so this particular valve lasting me over 10 years is a good sign of its reliability. It also allows me to limit the water flow so that my sprinkler do not end up getting the stuff stored on my porch wet, such as my stored wood and the dry cat food I put out each day or so (the cat comes to my front door and complains when I fail to provide the critter such daily kibbles with bits. Even so, I am not all that experienced with many different brands, but Lawn Genie also has the advantage of being carried at many stores so that when it does fail one can replace it with the same item and thus maintain the failed unit in case a part is needed in the future to help a given Lawn Genie push it to maybe 20 years of use or so, if one manages to get lucky and, well, live so long oneself, but of course.

    Excellent product.

    Very easy to changeout all parts and leave old valve lower body in place.Just buy exact same new valve and exchange everything except the houseing and don't mess with the existing plumbing. This approach was a time saver for me.
