        Works great

        Using this drive in an external case powered by a Mac Mini Server. At first I thought it was noisy but after adding a little duct tape along the bottom of the drive to reduce metal to metal vibration, it quited down considerably. Using this drive as part of a video server system. During reads, an occasional small click can be heard if the room is totally quiet but of course in a home theater that is almost never the case. The movie sound track is much louder than any drive noise. Have only had this drive for a couple of weeks but it is working great!

        Premium hard drive

        This is my fourth purchase of the WD 4tb HD for my NAS unit which can hold up to 8 HDs. They are fast and efficient. I will certainly buy more as the need arise. In my opinion Western Digital make the best Hard Drives

        This thing is a BEAST

        Installed, formatted & partitioned smooth as butter. Immediately dumped 1.25TB worth of data, went through no issue, not even hot to the touch compared to the drive it replaced.

        first class hardware

        be sure you download the WD utility to setup the drive for 7 or 8 if you want to have the drive to not have multiple partitions this is required to have a drive greater than 2 TB
