The unit is very well made & comes apart easily enough for cleaning Just recently upgraded my setup from a cheap airbrush to this and an Iwata, the reason is to save time and be able to better do detail. The Iwata has a .35 needle and is set up as the workhorse this one is to do tight areas where your not wanting to bleed onto an already sprayed part. Being fairly new to airbrushing (just over a years experience) your best off starting cheap and getting a decent one when you've got the hang of it anyways now on to a detailed part the Solo. Build wise its excellent the part feel good and the whole item smacks of quality and as with anything well engineered that will cost you. Its not for the novice and can be fiddly to use and get the hang of, your also going to have to work on your ... Its not for the novice and can be fiddly to use and get the hang of, your also going to have to work on your paint I've been using Vallejo which isn't bad but you'll need to buy a flow medium & the proprietary thinner rather than water. It clogs pretty easily if your not on the ball due to the fine nature of the needle (well thats what I bought it for). To get a really good finish you need to make sure your not getting paint drying in it, as I said I've an Iwata but you can't really compare the 2 as there for different jobs, as a 1 airbrush fits all then its not really what you want for fine detail and as a 2nd airbrush then its fine. I've given it a 4 start review but using such a fine needle setup is always going to have its problems and most of the ones I encountered I'd get on another product of a similar nature, when it does clog its easy enough to strip down and clean. I got this one over the equivalent Iwata mostly based on price as its not in use all the time the extra cost isn't really justified this also has some nice fine adjustment to help stop overspraying. Its clear though if you want to do a good job with an airbrush you need to buy a decent one and I'd recommend anyone looking to go up the ladder to consider Harder & Steenbeck + the Japanese Iwata airbrushes
