If you're anything close to a fan of aviation and aeronautics, you will absolutely love this series. The only negative is that it only ran for 2 seasons! Re-enactments with the aid of computer animation of actual historical air battles where the very lives of pilots hung in the balance and survival was determined by their superior skill and sheer determination to live are recounted by the surviving pilots themselves and historians if the pilot is deceased. From WWI aircraft to the marvelous machines of the present day (as of 2015), you will see how the war aces throughout the decades used their skills while pushing their bodies and minds to the very edge of human capability to defend their country with courage and honor.

I received this game as a Christmas gift in 1962-1963. My friends and I played it many times, I'm not sure what became of it after I became an adult, but I thought of it many times. I typed the title into my computer and it came up on e-bay. I'm now seventy one years old but I had to have it. I'm looking forward to playing it with my grandsons.

I bought this because YouTube has all the good episodes blocked in my country. The Clinton Johnson Skyraider episode, Legend of Y-29, all the good stuff. This mega set has them all.

Very educational concerning the aircraft and pilots ...The animation is a bit exaggerated and overdone, especially the world War one and two dogfights No real airplane of those times could do or maneuver as shown in the production. However the episodes are enjoyable

Have you been aggravated by a senior citizen being too slow or just being old? Think about the sacrifices that seniors may have made for you to complain. The pilots of "Dogfights" had a life-time of experience and a whole lot of "moxie" to perservre through adversity. These men refused to give up; they solved problems instantly without creating a consensus. They were not concerned about being political correct. It was a matter of killing the enemy before they killed you. It was war! The next time you see a senior veteren, thank him or her for their service to our country...to your freedom and your childrens' freedom.
