    Quick release vband on catalytic converter

    I had to replace my truck's oem headers because they were cracked. I used a carb legal replacement and had to cut the catalytic converter off the old header to weld back up onto the new one. Instead of fixing the problem which will arise again, I decided to use a flange between the actual catalytic converter and headers. This way, both metals can expand and contract at different rates separately so the cracking does not occur again. I've used a cheaper vband and it leaked. I switched to this one and it is far better than cheaper products. The next best thing would obviously be the more expensive marman flange. But, the flange on this is good enough, it has a lip on the inside to catch the other end for near perfect alignment, and the clamp itself is very strong compared to the other ...

    looked good in the pics

    Flanges are great. very nicely machined and fit together nicely. clamps are junk, of the 2 I order 1 was riveted properly and i didn’t notice till i was installing it. After stealing the clamp from my argon purge block I got the downpipes hung. After mocking up a run of exhaust i locked down the clamp of coarse the bolt stripped just as it got tight. They look good till you notice the cheap chinese hardware and no lock nut.
