Great product let down by rubbish instructions.
When you fit a topbox to most bikes, the first thing you notice is that the rail makes your existing brake lights much harder to see. If, like me, you regularly take a pillion, then the thought of someone not seeing you brake is even more scary. The solution? Fit brake lights to your topbox, so that even the Range Rover brigade should be able to see when you're slowing down. I have to say, the kit itself is really good quality, with nice bright LEDs, but at first I was quite bemused. All I got with the kit was a piece of paper showing a few diagrams, most of them quite ambiguous to say the least. It took a visit to Youtube where I managed to find a video in Russian showing the process of installing the kit. After a few "ah, that's where that bit goes" moments I was home and dry. Come ... Check Top Box fixing plate!
Difficult to review as I had to send it back (suppliers were fine about that) because although I have a Givi V47 monkey box (standard fitting on my new Versys 1000 SE GT), my fixing plate is supplied by Givi though badged Kawasaki and doesn't have fixing hole for electrical connection that their universal plate has. There was no simple way of fitting the wiring from the plate to the bike. EASY TO FIT.
High quality and neat fitting well made items. Superb and well thought out concept by GIVI However the joining of the 2 x Pos/Neg wires were hard due to my banana sized fingers. But I'm still giving a 5 star review.

Worth every penny, improves my safety from other road users.
Very good, improves visibility so bike can be seen and gives eye level braking warning to anyone behind. A little bit fiddly to wire in to a new bike but worth the effort once done. I left the lid shut for as long as possible so it moulded itself and then once in use it worked everytime. I always check the brake light when I leave the garage so I know its working. I can't say whether it has saved me or not because it works and I haven't heard that awful tyre screeching behind me when someone brakes too late.
