Dark, gripping, exciting and horrifying!
This book is excellent! Although I strongly recommend that these need to be read in order so as to understand what the characters have previously faced. The Gone series is about a dome appearing over a 20 mile area and everyone over 15 disappears. What is left is a bunch of kids trying to survive, needless to say there is chaos, fighting, famine, horrific deaths, murders and much more. . . The books and characters are gripping and you wont want to put them down. Obviously some dark and disturbing storylines but not too extreme. Some mutations that kids develop can seem bit far fetched in later books, but adds to the danger. Also more of the story unravels as the books go on and they all tie in well together.This book is excellent! The gone series has been fab. Some of it is very far fetched and wouldn't be to all tastes, but I am loving looking at human mentality through the eyes of kids.
