Featuring Hughes's trademark heart and wit, 'Curly Sue' humorously depicts the relationship between Bill, a hapless drifter, and a precocious preteen girl. Life takes a turn for the duo when they try to run a scam on a woman who happens to be an ambitious Chicago lawyer. After spending time with them, she begins to develop feelings for Bill and becomes quite enamored with Curly Sue. As complications abound, the story mixes comedy, drama and romance in a perfect concoction that can be enjoyed on DVD for years to come.
