I have been using Leviton DHC (X10) since it was first introduced over 25 years ago in my own home. Except for an occasional burned out unit after many years of service, it has been flawless. I use it to control all my exterior lighting. I installed a 3-gang box in the MBR with 3 16400 controllers and 3 16450-4 keypads. Not only do I control the lights on the sides of both the front and rear doors but I also can control all floods, security lighting, and landscape lighting as well as my pool filter. Additional controllers are located in my garage, at the front door and at the rear slider to the deck.

I use these obsolete wall controllers all over my house. If I run out of them I will have to go to the "modern" versions which requires both a "new" base and a "new" faceplate. But the "new" faceplates don't have a plastic cover over the rocker switches so you can't insert an ID label. While both the old and new styles work esentially the same to control X10 relays, I like the older Leviton 16400 style and that is what I chose years ago and I will continue to pick up these when available to keep my system operational.
