Was skeptical about this device but I was persuaded to buy it by fellow electronic geeks! Glad I did, it is remarkably effective! Will save alot of time with finding the dreaded dead caps, and, it has other functions which aren't widely promoted. Quite well made for a low volume device and the analogue meter is endearingly retro! Although relatively expensive for what it is, it will pay for itself in saved time quite quickly. I'm in the UK and shipping was pleasingly quick.

    CAP 1B capacitor ESR meter - a really useful tool

    A colleague recommended this it allows you too test electrolytic (principally) capacitors in circuit. I went through my stock and cleared out several dozen failed parts. Probes have very sharp tips which is useful on pCB's but do take care not to prick yourself! This is going to usefully save me time in fault diagnosis. do read the instructions for best results -they are simple and not too long winded.

    You get you pay for and more.

    Unit is nicely built and works well. Purchased mine with the Capsaver add-on. Easy to install and went smoothly. Came with a set of Panasonic alkaline batteries! Bravo for the vendor not sending Duracell batteries! Unit came with high quality Probe Master test probes better than the ones in the picture!! You will pay more for the Capacitor Wizard but it is a quality unit and spare parts are available if you need them. The manual is simple but sufficient. Made in the USA too.
