    True test for a stubborn dog. Better then the cheaper collars

    Bought this because the cheaper collars did not phase our 1.5 year old Chocolate lab. This unit did not work as expected but after turning the sensitivity up repeated times, it finally did shock him enough to respond. Controls are complicated if many people will use the control. A lighted control would help so that you know in the dark what the control is set at. It would also help if the collar had an LED light so that you can spot your dog in the dark. Another brand collar we have has that and it is easy to see where he's at.

    Not worth it, no better.

    This collar works no better than any other shock collar, and the price does not make it appealing at all. It states it is for stubborn dogs, but the shock is no more than any other. I tested it against the regular sportdog collar and one that was 1/3 the price of the sportdog collars and there is not any difference. Don't bother with this one.

    Best Trainer

    Recently we adopted a dog that was adorable but ALWAYS getting in to trouble. We had made plans to take him to a trainer to assist us with a more peaceful lifestyle. A friend recommended this and said it's cheaper than a trainer and gets the job done. It only took less that a week to get him use to the tones and vibrations to change his attitude. Well worth it..........

    Excellent training collar

    The collar is small and compact. The handheld transmitter is sensibly laid out and easy to use. There are a lot of training configurations that you can easily switch the collar to. There is plenty of voltage to spare at the high end for really stubborn dogs. Very good training instructions take out the guesswork.

    Don't waste money on those cheap training collars. This Sport Dog collar is very well made and has an excellent training manual also. I highly recommend this company. The range is good and my dog,s training is going so smooth now.
