Upgrade your ProLiant server with the Kingston DDR2 8GB fully buffered RAM. The 8GB of memory is split into two 4GB boards with black covers protecting the components underneath. This memory can work separately in the case of multitasking or together when a high-demand program needs more. This Kingston technology offers surface-mounted components on the board with strong, gold contacts along the product's edges.These DDR2-5300F memory modules by Kingston are compatible with several ProLiant server types, including model numbers BL480C, BL460C, DL140, ML370, and ML150. These HP/Compaq workstation models are all servers that can hold the specialized connector configuration on the KTH-XW667 RAM kit, which is notched about halfway down the edges.This DDR2 SDRAM component offers you up to 5.3 gigabytes per second of bandwidth. This translates into faster programming speeds on any attached computers to your server with the Advanced Memory Buffer. This buffer feature also ensures that the system is stable no matter the memory load on the electronics.If you are familiar with ECC RAM components, this type of product offers a 240-pin interface that is similar to other DDR2 units. However, this Kingston memory system is in a DIMM or dual in-line memory module configuration. The pin layout and notch pattern indicate that the boards cannot be interchanged and used in other products. In fact, FB-DIMMs have a serial rather than parallel connection to the memory controller so that they only work on certain HP ProLiant servers, such as the Bl20P.Free up your drives and servers by adding these 667MHz Kingston accessories to your network. The boards themselves are slightly less than 0.5-inch wide so they are sturdy enough to hold up under both hot and cold temperatures within a server's system. Strategic, metal clips hold the PC2-5300 unit's protective covers onto the board with anti-static measures intact at all times.
