Aquila Reds - Worst strings I've ever used!
These strings immediately started showing signs of wear, and after only a week of light daily practice they look like they could snap at any time, from any point where they've touched a fret. Where they touch each fret is all worn... They defiantly have more sustain than the Kala's stock black strings, but they're really squeaky - your fingers grip and skid across them - and they were worn out before they were worn in. I've use a lot of different guitar, bass and ukulele stings in my time, and Aquila make the best ukulele stings in the world, but these "Aquila Red" uBass stings are terrible. I own a Kala uBass (acoustic made from solid wood, not laminate) and these strings are simply disintegrating under my fingers. Well, not under my fingers, but on the underside of the strings. I'll ... Thundergut Red Rules
These are by far the best bass ukulele strings I have ever used. Thinner and non sticky they play more easily and nicer tone. They also seem tougher and stay in tune better.

Still plenty of bottom end in these strings and they’re not as flappy as the white ones that were already on my bass when purchased

Excellent upgrade!
Finally put these on my Ubass a few days before a gig. Absolutely love them! Good sound and not sticky. Need to be well played in - had to retune every tune so reckon they may need a week to settle in..
