I bought this used cell phone in an emergency; mine was discarded by my 2 year old. As stated in its description, it is in thoroughly used condition. However, the battery life and reception are ohmygod amazing. It's been on for almost a week now, and shows nearly a full battery. It is a workhorse of a phone for a fraction of the cost of a fancier phone. It does the basic job of being a cell phone as good as or better than any other cell I've had, and I buy the nicer Nokia phones. Nokia puts together some fantastic units, but I never expected such a stellar level of performance from this beat up old thing. The reason I put "good" instead of "excellent" is because it would be perfect if only it had a screen on the outside so you could see who's calling before you pick up by opening the phone. There's probably some way you can correct that by programming it to pick up when you press a key instead, but I haven't bothered to figure it out yet. Best of luck to you in your phone search. In my humble opinion, Nokia has always been the brand to buy, but this little clamshell has shown me that their fine work goes into their humbler cells as well.Read full review
I got this phone free with a service contract. A basic flip cell phone. Call clarity is great along with signal strength. Battery life is also great. Got about 5-6 hours before I had to recharge it. Speaker phone was nice and loud, easy to understand the caller. Good navigation and screen clarity. Has your basic features like calculator, alarm, calendar, IM's, etc. Texting with it was easy and fun. If you're looking for a decent flip phone with good battery life and great call clarity. The Nokia 6061 is a good choice.
This is a review by a first time user of Ebay. The process was smooth and pain free. I liked the old Nokia 6061 I had which worked flawlessly for 5 years until it met my washer machine and was washed. It never worked again. I needed a flip phone WITHOUT a camera and I dislike buttons on the phone side. So I found a phone just like my old phone offered by recellulartoo which was a very nice experience. The price was very good and the phone although used looked like new. Overall A positive buying experience. Bob Sykesville MD
This is a wonderful cell phone. I bought three of them for our family members, and it's easy to use...no bells and whistles, just your basic phone. It's light weight. My only complaint would be that the numbers would stand up a little, so you know you're hitting the right keys. But I would buy it again. I think Nokia makes a good cell phone for the money. I've had other phones, that only last a year, but Nokia works forever! My daughter is still using the origional one I bought her 4 years ago.
Although this model might be viewed as a dinosaur in the cellphone world, it is a reliable phone without all the whistles & bells. I like the clamshell design. It allows me to protect the keypad from accidental entries without locking & unlocking. It is SMS capable for text messaging. There is NOT a camera feature (I don't miss it). It features a built-in antenna design & I rarely have problems connecting or with dropped calls (AT&T / Cingular). In my opinion this is a great basic, reliable phone!
