    Paperback - the hardback is extremely rare and expensive.

    Excellent book, very dark and extremely violent in places. Richard Morgan is quoted as saying 'I have an infinite capacity for violence!' and it shows in the book. Long and complex but once you start, it's hard to put down.

    The new bladerunner

    If you like mature sci-fi detective stories then this book is for you. The same character appears in two other novels by this my favourite author. I don’t usually read books twice but have read this one three time. Soon to be a tv series I’d grab it before the price goes up. The concept and description of a future world is one of the best I’ve immersed myself in.

    Ghost in the shell vs the Matrix vs Sherlock Holmes on acid...

    I still remember the day I first purchased this book, I was in Border's book shop and my friend said that her friend would not stop going on about how great this book was and even though she was not a science fiction fan she was tempted to read it. I can't possibly attempt to express here what a revolutionary book this is within the genera but to put things simply imagine Sherlock Holmes meets cyber punk on acid. This first book in the series is essentially a detective novel but sewn into a futuristic world of seemingly limitless possibilities that all hinge around the concept of digitised consciousness. The language is both lurid and visceral as Richard Morgan effortlessly paints an intricate picture of a violent new world whereby your life and your body are not necessarily exclusive ...
