  • Not JK Rowling, I put it down halfway through...

While the central ideas are good, I found it too sprawling and had little interest in the lead character. I persevered with it but only got half way through the book. Gone to charity shop!

  • Great

I love this book. Really love the series and the author

  • A pageturner, but with a thoughtful side. Good fun. Very readable.

Very enjoyable read. Alternative levels of reality are experienced by random, gifted people who are recruited to The Night Watch,...or not. Set in modern Russia, The "Dark Materials" series springs to mind as a comparison, but with a vodka hangover and a whiff of pickled cabbage. The ideas are intruiging but the story drives the book along. Also I felt I had a small window onto day to day Moscow life and culture.

  • Love it

    Very interesting
