I bought one for my elderly father. It was safe to use with the blade covered by the jaws. Easy to use as it is electric and stops immediately with the release of the power button. The saw seems to have enough mechanical power to cut 75mm hardwood limb. I like it for cutting small 25mm sticks rather than cutting with an axe, where one end often flicks up.
