A great Antenna for the Price.
The GME ground-independent stainless steel whip is the very best type of antenna you can buy for UHF CB radios. It can be mounted anywhere you like on your vehicle, which makes the installation of your CB radio a breeze. These have been around for decades. I had one back in 1994/95 and it worked a treat. So, I purchased another two of them recently.

Compact but full size features
Fits beautifully under dash out of the way in my 80 series under the heater controls and more easily accessed than my old in dash set. The perfect uhf, easily fitted with all the features needed and excellent reception/transmission. Totally recommend it

High Gain performance for a tight budget
Pros: Cheap price for a high gain aerial Good radiation, it will lift your signal to another levell Easy to change from 6 to 9 dB on the fly. Cons: Not very stable when used for 9 dB, the radiating element is thin and bends with the wind easily Even though pre tuned, when coils are fitted it's rather difficult to lower the SWR. I never got better than 1:1.6 If used as a home base aerial, easily damaged by big birds that can bend the radiator. What makes this antenna attractive is the gain and the price it sells for.Pros: Cheap price for a high gain aerial Good radiation, it will lift your signal to another levell Easy to change from 6 to 9 dB on the fly.
