Learning how to shoot your rifle accurately and consistently from a long range is the only way you are going to have success in the field. Hunter's Guide to Long-Range Shooting explains all the variables involved in the science of shooting from long distances. Early chapters explore the colorful history of shooting, and sections on technical subjects such as ballistics are written in plain English that can be easily understood by even the most casual shooter. • Another winner from Wayne Van Zwoll. You can't go wrong with his books.

Van Zwoll has yet to produce a dud. This is another fine book from an extremely knowledgeable author. As with many of his writings he can seem to be a bit off topic with his historical lessons of the development of firearms and the men who should be remembered for their genius in getting us where we are today with modern rifles. If you aren't interested in the history lesson, just skip ahead a few chapters. I found much of it very interesting. One of the best things Van Zwoll brings to his writings on the subject of long-range shooting is his perspective as a hunter. • Hunters guide to long range shooting by Wayne Van Zwoll

I purchased this book about 3 0r 4 weeks ago, At first I thought is was more info than I needed. but could not put it down. I am by no means a expert shooter and marksman but I never felt like I was being talked down to. I was glad to learn the history of guns and the advent of long range shooting. This book hasbeen a working history lesson
