      All you need to understand Logic 9.

      I'm using Logic X now, however this guide is very detailed and informative. It is all you need to use Logic. Some knowledge of DAW (Digital Audio Workstations - music software) is assumed in the writing. A complete novice will have to work through it very slowly, however I think you could make good progress. There is also a companion website.

      Good overview for DAW users

      Even being a user of different Logic versions this book was quite helpful in understanding changes an concepts of Logic 9. The Logic manuals are large and extensive so this book makes a great accompaniment. This was a 2019 review and I paid £3 for a used copy.

      Really Comprehensive Guide

      As someone with a limited budget so still running stuff on a cheap old Mac, this is a really good guide to both Logic Pro 9 and Logic Express 9. Really useful tips for both audio and MIDI recording as well as on getting the project completed and mastered for CD.
