The 8 large blades and the small gap between blade tips highlight its design superiority. The impeller has very low friction bearings and will pick up the slightest breeze. This extremely low rotational friction also highlights an imbalance in the impeller as the impeller comes to a stop, probably not an issue until you are metering gail force winds.
