Low compression/ check intake and exhaust valves for proper seating.
I was putting this in a Honda 350es rancher. The overall appearance looked good. I inspected the pieces carefully; 1-there was a lot of left over flashing at the parting lines when casted. Easy clean up with a file. 2- both valves did not seat properly to the valve seats. There was a noticeable light that could be seen. Also the valves were slightly sticky. Had to take out the valves then I found the issue. The valve stems have a slight taper near the valves face. This taper interferes with the valve guides casting, preventing the valves from closing. I clearanced the end of casting guide end to allow the taper of the valve stem not to interfere with the casting. Work well. We will see how long it lasts.
