    Another historical novel - on the background of real events, a ficitional hero goes for adventures after the battle at Waterloo.

    Well, I am a big fan of Sharpe - both the books and the series, of course. So as a fan, I grabbed the book because I do have all Sharpe books and we were waiting such a long time for B. Cornwell to write another novel.

    Most appropriate.

    Very well written indeed. I hadn't realised that there was still so much civil unrest after the battle of Waterloo. As usual, Mr. Cornwell's research into the facts surrounding the defeat of Bonaparte and his unswervingly loyal supporters was incredible. Finally, I would add that I didn't expect to receive a hardback copy of 'Sharpe's Assassin' for the price of £5.29!

    Fills a gap needed to be filled.

    I think it slots into the whole story arc extremely well. Continuing to evolve the characters throughout the book. A build up of suspense throughout the story with a dramatic conclusion. A great read.
