      Too much trouble for little gain

      In a guitar, the mic feds back horribly at even modest volumes, and no amount of positioning can correct this. The sound is terrible, like a really cheap tuny mic. I would only recommend this in situations where there is absolutely no other solution.

      Amazing lead tones!

      John really knew what he wanted when he sat down with DiMarzio and dialed this pickup! Luscious, creamy lead tones with high gain amps, yet able to nail every note in a chord when playing rhythm, this pup meets my every need. In split mode, it works wonders! Amazing clean tone, it really shines with some overdrive in front. I would recommend this pickup to every serious guitarist looking for a versatile neck pickup able to nail soaring leads, full chords, and clean-tones at their fancy.

      Heavy bass and dark sounding.

      A lot of bass and dark sounding. Doesn’t go well with the tone zone I have in the bridge. Not great for classic rock . I did my research and took a chance but you never know until you get a pickup in your guitar with your amp.
