Well made. It is a bit on the large side, but that was one reason I bought it. Very sturdy. The control buttons on the front panel are very sensitive, and only need to be touched to be activated. This is very cool, as I was tempted to almost punch them in like most every other component I have ever had. Picture quality is excellent - vivid, sharp, and rock steady on pause. The drawbacks, and there are a few, are the following: 1. There are chattering noised from it if while it is on you already inserted a DVD, and even when you are not watching it. It is pretty much constant as long as there is a DVD player inside it while it is on. During on particular movie we even heard that noise during play. But for the most part I am not aware of it 90% of the time, so I hope this is not something defective with this unit. 2. Slow to start. Once it is turned on, play of the DVD is not immediate. Rather, it seems to want to prime things up before starting. Once you are at the main menu things are improved, but is always a bit slow to shift between modes. .3 Remote. Well designed, but with a few quirks in the layout. Overall I am pretty happy with mine, but would perhaps look elsewhere the next time.Read full review

This Blue-ray player works great. There is a lot of things I don't like about it though. First, all of its tv and on line capabilities are through a Korean operated center that offers a limited amount of access to normal American taste. Second the Blue-ray player has very little storage room even though it comes in a box bigger than a VHs player. So storage is taken up very fast. Third, a flash drive of at least one GB has to be inserted to use the Blue-ray features because the flash drive in a little tiny compartment has triple times the byte compacity than the giant blue-ray player itself! How dissappointing! The player has to have external memory added to use the Blue-ray function. It is not self functional! This is my first Blue-ray ever bought for a great price and that is the only positive for this blue-ray player is that it is an upgrade for me. It is nice to watch Net-flix now with true High Definition TV because I don't think I am getting it through my computer. Yes the ethernet hookup is a great feature too even though it is limited to the Korean based company.Read full review
Refurbished items don't scare me at all. I assume they've probably been tested more extensively than the "factory new" units. In this case, this Blu-Ray player came in an obviously NOT retail box but was packaged properly. All materials such as batteries, remote, manual, cables, etc. appear to have never been opened. The player works great, and doesn't seem to have overly slow load times as stated in other reviews I read prior to purchasing. Blu-Ray disks do take longer to load than SD DVDs. The internet connectivity doesn't seem to be all that useful, but I haven't played with it too much. I'm quite pleased with this purchase.
I bought it knowing full well it was in poor condition. However it is in very good working condition, the only thing "poor" about it is the fact that the door for the disc tray is missing, and it makes a scraping noise when it slides out and back in. My reason for purchasing this unit was to check my self-made discs wich I have edited and burned. there is no remote, but I don't care since it is in easy reach on my computer work area. it has other the cosmetic issues but it does what I need it to do and has very good HD picture on my 1080p monitor.
Seems easy to use, has a good choice of connectivity ports, and remote control easy to work with. Front panel controls are very light touch responsive. Power light stays lit even when player switched off. Overall satisfied with the model.
