Seal removal portion of the tool didn t work. I followed the instructions and tried forever on my own to make it work. Had to eventually remove the transmission pan and the shift rod to punch the seal out from inside the transmission. Reinstalled the rod and new seal over the rod, then the installer portion of the tool did its job putting the seal all the way on and in place. Wasted lots and lots of time but eventually got it done. Could have been avoided with a proper tool or total rod replace.
