    Oldy But Goody

    This is an old product; but if you get the latest driver software--via Microsoft Update or Microsoft Hardware--it's wonderful for everyday video chatting via Skype (Live Messenger is no longer supported). If you use Windows Vista, you might want to install "Microsoft LifeCam HD-5001 Firmware Update" before as a prerequisite to the standard driver update.

    Not the best but very good

    In addition to this Microsoft LifeCam 5001, I have a Logitech C500 and an AUSDOM AW615. This camera has good focus and image quality but the Logitech is the best of the three. It was a snap to set up. I use all 3 cameras in a motion detection security program on a Win XP 32-bit machine.
