An excellent Wilbur Smith book made into a great film.

The film of the book, written by Wilbur Smith. You know that it is going to be a nail biting story. Set in the days of the troubles in the Belgian Congo, it tells the story of a group of mercenaries tasked with taking a train to rescue civilians trapped behind enemy lines and also to recover a fortune in diamonds. Some of the battle scenes are quite graphic, as are the scenes of captured civilians being subjected to all manner of torture by the Simba's. It follows the surviving civilians and soldiers as they fight their way back to safety. A really good story and a brilliant film.
