Be aware! If you are running any kind of motor, then the max watts will be 25% of what it says on the box. I bought the 8000w inverter, and I can only get 2 x 1000w pumps running on it. Apparently that is by design, and they do say that in the fine print (which I didn't read). If you are just plugging in lightbulbs you'll probably get close to the 4000w continous. But 8000w surge is baloney. This machine is actually 2000w continous with 1 second surge to 3000w using motors.
