Condition better than expected! Although this was listed as used, and there was a bit of dust on the box, the instrument was absolutely perfect. Obviously not even hardly used. A fantastic little device! It is perfect for quiet locations like dorms or apartments.
This product exceeds my expectations! The reverb setting makes practicing with a previously recorded track very realistic! I use my in-ear headphones for the mute, then put on over-the-ear headphones which plays my orchestra track. During the pandemic, I was forced to practice and perform via webcasts which lacked so very much in what music should mean. When I use the mute, I feel like I am practicing with my orchestra and I can do so at full intonation without disturbing my roommates, who are one room away in my college dorm (standard sheet rock, uninsulated walls). At worst it is akin to playing partly hand stopped with my Yamaha horn. Is the fit better with my Yamaha 871D (custom edition) horn? Great silent practice mute
Great product. Works very well if your goal is to practice in your apartment without disturbing your neighbors. Another utility is practicing in a hotel room. The sound that is audible to your surroundings is minimal, while what you hear when pluging your earphones to the mute is very close to your natural horn sound. Highly recommended!
