    Half Man Half Biscuit CD

    This was my husband's favourite band during his teenage years in the 80s.Our daughter found it for him for his birthday and he was absolutely thrilled to hear all his old favourites again and introduce the family to Half Man Half Biscuit.

    I`ve been an avid fan since i bought the NME`s C86 album and heard I Hate Nerys Hughes. This is essentially a bunch of demos the band had and was released as their first album. Top tracks for me include Time Flies By (time flies by when im a pilot of a plane, toching down in camberwick im stoned out of my brain), Sealclubbing (you can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead) and Reflections In A Flat (o darling sugar honey, when it was nice and sunny, and when i had some money, we`d go and echo and the bunny............men). A great place to start discovering HMHB this album although every album since has proved just as good including the last one, Achtung Bono. Andy Kershaw described them as real english folk music which is hard to disagree with but it`s also music of it`s ...

    i first had this album on tape format 20years ago i came across the cd of it on ebay and just had to get it. and it has not aged 1 bit. i good fun album that is not for the easly offended. BUY IT NOW

    Back in the DHSS

    This is the extended version of an album that I bought after hearing HMHB on the Peel show many years ago. It still stands up as a fantastic piece of work almost too many in jokes to keep up with. There is an excellent HMHB web site that gives a break down of all the names just in case you cannot remember who Peggy Mount is etc.. Far longer than the original album and with the truely excellent Trumpton Riot EP as an addition. If you are late 30's to mid 40's it is a must own album but don't expect you kids or work colleagues to get it all.
